Thylacine Arts Centre

Membership of the centre will be at three levels. For the moment these will be called gold silver and bronze, and will be established as needed.

Gold membership will be for those wishing to have a contracted area of the hall where they can work, store art materials, and at a later date have the right to sell items. This will be specified in a contract developed from an application form and will solely refer to the amount of semi permanent space occupied by each individual. The general contract for the hall will also specify communal areas for workshops, and use by gold level artists when they need to create larger work. Larger work and other events taking more room in the hall will be after notification to the treasurer/secretary who will maintain a calendar of events, and necessary work space.

Gold members will not be required to clear their spaces unless by prior arrangement. However they will be required to keep their area reasonably clean and tidy, and provide screens if necessary for privacy or to prevent general access.

Silver membership will be for those who wish to have regular access to workshops and to live in the community of Kentish. There will be a small annual membership fee which will allow them a reduced price for workshops and regular notification by newsletter of events.

Bronze membership will be for those wishing to have short-term access of up to 2 weeks for a specific purpose, that requires space to be set aside while their work and/or commission is fulfilled.

Artists may use the whole hall (excluding rented artist space) for events that may include an opening evening with food and drink and up to 4 days of selling their work. This will generally run from Friday to Monday. A set up and take down day will also be part of the arrangements such that this will run from Thursday to Tuesday in its entirety. There will be a rental charge plus a commission on works sold.
